What are your top ten favorite movies?
- “Casablanca.” I love every line and every scene in this movie—it was almost cinematic perfection.
- “The Godfather.” The one and only. Some argue the second one was even better—I still favor the original.
- “Boyz in the Hood.” This movie was as heart-warming as it was heart-breaking.
- “Affliction.” This movie was as dark and disturbing as they come, and also one of Nick Nolte’s most noteworthy performances, I think.
- “Three Days of the Condor.” This movie continues to stand the test of time, and is as relevant today as ever.
- “The Untouchables.” I can watch this movie over and over and never get tired of it. Outstanding performances by the entire cast.
- “Thirteen Days.” I can watch this one over and over, too—I must be a real Kevin Costner fan without even realizing it.
- “A Few Good Men.” A few great performances here as well—Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson are in tip-top form in this gem from Rob Reiner.
- “On Golden Pond.” Henry Fonda saved his best for last.
- “Hamburger Hill.” One of my favorite and most underrated Vietnam War flicks, I think.
